Abstract

A group of 61 clay seal impressions appeared in the Beirut trade; four were acquired by the Munich coin cabinet, the rest recorded in plaster casts. Twenty show the Tyche enthroned on a rock in the Eutychides type, eleven of them with the legend of Nikopolis and in part a date. The author assigns them to Syrian Nikopolis, today Islahiye, chiefly because they occur together with seals from nearby Doliche.
