How to submit a contribution
In three steps from idea to a contribution in the yearbook.
01 · Topic proposal
Send an enquiry
Briefly describe your planned article and your schedule by email to the editorial team. They will get back to you promptly.
02 · Manuscript
Print-ready per the guidelines
Submit your completed manuscript print-ready in accordance with the 'Guidelines for Contributions' by the respective editorial deadline.
03 · Review
Peer review
Your contribution is assessed by the editorial team and the academic advisory board, in cooperation with the Staatliche Münzsammlung München.
Framework
Conditions for authors
By submitting a manuscript to the editorial team, authors agree to the following conditions:
- Print-ready manuscript. The contribution is complete in content and is submitted print-ready in accordance with the 'Guidelines for Contributions to the Jahrbuch für Numismatik und Geldgeschichte' by the respective editorial deadline.
- Publication rights. By submitting, the author consents to printing in the JNG and to digital publication; the latter is identical in typesetting and images to the printed version.
- Third-party rights. The author warrants that they have obtained all usage and image rights (maps, photos, illustrations from private collections, museums, etc.). The BNG accepts no liability for infringements of third-party rights.
- Embargo. A secondary publication on academic media platforms is possible one year after the dispatch of the official PDF, exclusively as the official PDF and citing the table of contents of the respective JNG.
- Data protection. Personal data is stored in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation.
