Abstract
In 1983 the Munich coin cabinet received a unique piece as a gift: a special issue showing Constantius II and Constans on obverse and reverse. Starting from it, the paper assembles the eastern and western multiple solidi and special pieces of the years 340 to 350 on which the imperial brothers appear together, and reads them in the light of the changing relations between the two rulers, in particular the crisis of 345/346 and its resolution.
