Once a year the Bavarian Numismatic Society sets off together. The excursions lead to museums, coin cabinets and historic sites, combining numismatic discoveries with convivial company.

Excursion to Straubing

Straubing

An autumn coach trip through Lower Bavaria. After a reception by the deputy mayor, the group explored the old town of the Gaeuboden city and the Gaeuboden Museum with its insights into Celtic and Roman history.

Excursion to Frankfurt am Main

Frankfurt am Main

Two days in the old hub of trade and money. The programme included a city walk taking in the cathedral and St. Paul's Church, the Historical Museum and the Money Museum of the Deutsche Bundesbank.

Ulm

The autumn excursion led to the old imperial city of Ulm on the Danube, whose history as a trading city is closely tied to monetary affairs.

Excursion to Schwabach

Schwabach

To the Franconian gold-beaters' town of Schwabach. 36 participants filled the coach, which as always set off from Munich Central Station.

Excursion to Ingolstadt and Manching

2015

Ingolstadt and Manching

The group visited the Napoleon and Bavaria exhibition in Ingolstadt and the Celtic Roman Museum in Manching with its permanent exhibition on the Celtic era.
