Abstract
Like many coinages struck for members of the imperial house, the coins of Lucilla are dated only roughly, and some catalogues simply assign them the dates of the ruling Augustus. The paper derives closer dates from three observations: the two different obverse legends, the reading of one reverse type, and a study of the gold dies. It proposes 161 to 164 for the first legend and from 164 for the second.
