Abstract
In 1971 Paul Grotemeyer put the complete oeuvre of the Munich die cutter and medallist Franz Andreas Schega (1711 to 1787) at some one hundred attested works. Every new attribution therefore carries weight. The paper presents three works missing from the monograph, among them an original seal die of Emperor Charles VII from a Vienna auction. Since die cutters did not sign seal dies, the attribution rests on stylistic comparison with secure works by Schega, such as a six-kreuzer piece of 1745 and the imperial taler of 1743.
