Abstract
Philip Grierson had assigned a follis with the legend InPER COnST to Heraclonas, while George E. Bates argued for Constans II; on two specimens with a bearded bust, countermarks had made the regnal year and officina illegible. The paper presents a third specimen on which regnal year 11 is clearly readable, securing the issue for 651/652 and thus for Constans II. The use of the title Imperator remains notable, since seventh-century coinage otherwise employs DN.
