Abstract
In his work on the coinages of Islam, Zambaur lists a mint Fada as a single attestation and an unknown locality. He relies on a shahi described by F. Soret in 1858, probably to be assigned to the Safavid Abbas I. A similar piece is held in the Munich coin cabinet. The paper re-examines the reading and points to the many ornamental dots surrounding the supposed mint name.
