Abstract
The publication of a find of 174 drachms of the Sasanian king Khusrau II, acquired by an Austrian private collector in order to make study possible. According to the dealer the coins come from western Persia and were found in 1972. All belong to the same type, come from the thirteenth regnal year and carry the same as yet unexplained marginal inscription. 173 pieces are from the mint of Bishapur, one of the five district capitals of Fars, and one from another mint.
