Abstract

The publication of a coin find from Schwarzach in the municipality of Seligenporten, district of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate. Its contents lead into the opening years of the Thirty Years War and consist largely of small silver: Polish three-polker pieces of Sigismund III of the years 1616 to 1619, among them an issue for Riga, groschen of Holstein-Schauenburg, Solms-Hohensolms, Solms-Lich and Teschen, and a heavily worn half real of Isabella I and Ferdinand V of Spain. The catalogue records legends, arms, weight and literature for every piece.
