Die kurfürstlich-bayerische Münzprägung in Amberg im 18. Jahrhundert

Abstract

The author gives an exact report on the mint of Amberg in the 18th century, its installation, staff and the procurement of the minting metal. Further there is given an account of the coin types and the quantity of coins as struck from 1763 to 1783. There is too a report on the closing of the mint in 1783 and on the Upper Palatinate Elector's Mining Office. In the part on the coinage of Amberg 1793/94 there too is reported the electoral decision „on the coinage" from September of 1794, which is of interest to monetary history
