Abstract
A short editorial note on the funding of the yearbook. From volume 2 (1950/51) to volume 34 (1984) the series was subsidised by the German Research Foundation; volume 36 (1986) already appeared without that support, and the present double volume 37/38 received none either. The revised conditions would have brought the Bavarian Numismatic Society no real relief. The editors announce that the yearbook will continue in its established form and ask members and friends for support.
