Abstract

The second part, devoted to the coinage of the ISARNODERO group. Many Merovingian coins carry a cross with letters beside it, mostly abbreviations of place names. Such sigla were used above all by important places, which makes their almost exclusive use by a group of small mints on the border between the civitas Lugdunensium and the civitas Vesontiensium the more striking; Izernore, somewhat further south, joins them.
