Abstract
Two instalments of a series on the mints of Asia Minor. The first concerns the Roman colony of Olbasa: on 28 April 1842 Julius August Schönborn, a schoolmaster from Posen, reached the Pisidian village of Belenli and saw there blocks of marble, fragments of columns, sarcophagi and two columns bearing the inscription OLBASA. Kiepert mapped the site correctly in 1844 and dropped it in 1854; in 1876 Duchesne, Ritter and Collignon confirmed the identification through three Latin inscriptions, one of them an honour for Claudius of 42/43 carrying the colony's name. The second instalment corrects the coin corpus of the colony of Germa that the author had published in 1968: the coin of Aquilia Severa admitted there with a query belongs to Aelia Capitolina in Judaea, so that the coinage of Germa begins under Commodus and ends under Diadumenian.
