Abstract

The paper begins with the history of research. In 1863 Heinrich Meyer-Ochsner announced a compilation of the Celtic coins found in Baden which was never published; Karl Bissinger included them in his Roman coin finds of 1889; Robert Forrer wrote on Celtic coins and gold washing in Alsace and Baden and likewise planned a compilation; Wilhelm Brambach assembled notes in the find files of the Baden coin cabinet in 1909; Ernst Wahle gave a survey in a newspaper in 1928 and noted a concentration of finds in the Tauber region. The inventory presented here records the Celtic coins known from find spots in Baden and rests on material gathered from the literature of finds.
