Abstract
Two coins found in Bavaria give us the clues to a more exact identification of two pfennigs from a large hoard discovered in Fulda in 189Z It is quite interesting that the narre on these coins is written as „Welfus", which so far has not yet been known. These coins were struck in Regensburg by Duke Welf II immediately after he had the right of striking coins in 1111
