Das 20 Kreuzer-Stück und sein Umlauf im Bayern des späten 18. und frühen 19. Jahrhunderts

Abstract

Statistical study on the percentage of 20 Kreuzer pieces from 14 Bavarian hoards ending between 1791 and 1821. The composition concerning the minting authorities and the time of the issues are investigated as well as the statistical composition concerning the different minting authorities. In the case of the Habsburg monarchy one is able to compare the absolute numbers of coins struck according to the written sources with the quantities and different years of issue, as represented in the hoards. Out of the evidence of hoards one can draw conclusions concerning coin circulation and minting activity
