The Greek kings of Bactria: from Diodotus I to Antimachus I

The lecture dealt with the first eight rulers of the Hellenistic Graeco-Bactrian kingdom in the north of present-day Afghanistan, roughly from 250 to 170 BC. It described the attainment of independence, important military undertakings and the changes of ruler of this era. As written sources are lacking, the coinages play a central role in reconstructing this history.
