The lecture dealt with archival sources in the Münzkabinett Berlin that provide important information beyond the coins and medals themselves. Notes, surviving registers of accessions, transmitted collectors' inventories and other written records open up new perspectives on the collection. The presentation spanned an arc from the 15th century to the present day.
