Inflationary tendencies in South America 1890 to 1960: from the silver peso to the aluminium piece

The lecture dealt with the effects of inflation on the South American currencies from 1890 to 1960. It traced the material transformation of the means of payment, from valuable silver coins to inexpensive aluminium pieces, a mirror of the economic crises and the instability of these countries.
