Experimental Numismatics Working Group 2023

13 and 14 July 2023, Archäologische Staatssammlung München

The annual meeting of the working group was devoted to experimental and scientific methods of coin research. The programme included, among other things, the computed-tomography examination of a Celtic coin find, metal-analytical procedures using X-ray fluorescence, questions of ancient coin production and the restoration and analysis of historical coins. The meeting was organised by the Archäologische Staatssammlung München with Bernward Ziegaus and the BNG with Dietrich Klose and Andreas Pangerl.
